About this experience

Spend 4, 6 or 8 days surfing Essaouira bay. Each camp includes 8 to 12 hours of surf lessons, nights in a cosy riad in the medina, two minutes' walk from the Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah Museum and seven minutes from the beach, daily breakfast, surfboard and wetsuit, and free photos. Lessons run in sessions of 2 to 3 hours a day, leaving time to explore the city. Choose a group camp (up to 3 students), a semi camp for two, or a private camp. Rooms have traditional Moroccan decor, free Wi-Fi and a TV, and family suites take up to 4 people.

Meeting pointYour riad in the medina of Essaouira, a 7-minute walk from the beach; lessons on the main beach. Airport pick-up from Agadir or Marrakech (about 2.5 hours by road) can be arranged on request.

Important Information

Prices are per person. Group camp: up to 3 students; semi camp: 2 students; private camp: 1 student. Lessons run in sessions of 2 to 3 hours a day. Essaouira has rideable waves all year: the biggest swells come between autumn and spring, while summer waves are smaller and cleaner, ideal for beginners. If the sea is not suitable, the session is replaced with another activity; those days are not refunded. Extra lesson hours and nights can usually be added. In summer, book a few weeks ahead.

Cancellation Policy

Bookings are confirmed with a deposit. Cancel 30 days or more before arrival for a full refund of the deposit (bank fees excepted); 14 to 29 days before, 50% of the deposit is refunded or the dates can be moved within the same year; under 14 days or no-show, the deposit is not refunded. No refunds for days without suitable wind or waves: alternative activities are offered instead.
