For any day in Morocco

  • Sun protection: sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat.
  • A light layer for the evening: by the sea and in the desert, nights can be much cooler than the days.
  • Comfortable walking shoes for the medinas, where the streets are often uneven.
  • Clothes that cover the shoulders and knees are welcome in medinas and villages.
  • Some cash in dirhams for small purchases and tips: see Money in Morocco.
  • A plug adapter if you need one: Morocco uses type C and E sockets, at 220 volts.
  • Your passport: hotels and riads ask for it when you check in.
