This day trip takes you to the Timlalin dunes near Tamri, about an hour north of Agadir, where golden dunes run down towards the Atlantic. Locals call them the small Sahara. With your Berber guide you ride a camel through the dunes, try sandboarding on the slopes and sit down to a traditional lunch in a Berber tent with tagine, salads and mint tea. There is time to walk the dunes and take photos before the drive back. Hotel pickup, all transport, the activities and lunch are included. No experience is needed. Short on time? Choose the half day instead: an afternoon of sandboarding on the same dunes, with a safety briefing for beginners, board and protection provided, and the sunset over the dunes before the drive back (about 5 hours, from 8 years old).

Itinerary
Pickup from your Agadir hotel and drive north to the Timlalin dunes near Tamri (about 1 hour).
Welcome from your Berber guide and a short introduction to the dunes.
A 45-minute camel ride through the dune landscape.
Sandboarding down the dune slopes, with boards and instruction provided.
Time to walk the dunes at your own pace and take photos.
Tagine, Moroccan salads, fresh bread and mint tea.
Rest in the shade of the tent with tea, or head back out on the dunes.
Leave the dunes and drive back south to Agadir.
Back at your hotel in Agadir.
Afternoon pickup, a safety briefing, runs down the dunes and the sunset, then back to your hotel.
Important Information
Wear sun protection, a hat and light clothing, and bring a small daypack. The sand gets hot in summer, so closed shoes are better than sandals. Not suitable for people with serious mobility problems. The half day is from 8 years old.
