Beginner Riders Course in Essaouira - 8 Days to Your First Trek
About this experience
An intensive, practical course for beginners who have already taken a few classic riding lessons and want to ride outdoors safely. Over 8 days, Saturday to Saturday, you follow 10 riding sessions (5 mornings and 5 sunset rides) and one alternative activity. Each morning you groom your horse and learn to saddle it for trekking with saddlebags, then ride out for two hours to work on posture, communication with your horse, the three gaits and natural obstacles. Late afternoon brings a two-hour ride at sunset, then you untack, clean the tack and help the staff feed the horses. Thursday is a change of pace with a two-hour quad ride on the high dunes. By the end you have the basics to take on your first riding trek. Small groups of up to 4 people.
