Guided Walk to Diabat from Essaouira - 3 Hours
About this experience
A guided walk to discover the historic and natural sites around Diabat. Leaving the ranch along the Ksob river, home to migratory and resident birds, you walk through the ruins of the Sultan's palace, climb the dunes for a wide view of the ocean and Mogador island, whose Eleonora's falcons you may spot, and come down to the old Portuguese fort. The route continues through the mimosa and eucalyptus forest over sandy, rolling ground to an old well where sheep, goats, camels and donkeys come to drink. There your guide brews tea on a wood fire in the nomad way and shows you the ritual, before you return through the forest and the riverside dunes to the ranch.
