About this experience
Imsouane sits on a sheltered horseshoe bay about 90 km north of Agadir, where a long right-hand point break has made a small fishing village one of Morocco's best-known surf spots. You do not need to surf to enjoy it: the inner bay is calm on most days, the pace is slow and the harbour restaurants grill the day's catch. The village is still small, with wooden fishing boats and nets drying on the quay. Surfers come for the point break, which gives one of the longest rides in Africa. The day includes the coastal drive north from Agadir, a stop at the Cap Ghir lighthouse, time to walk the bay and the headland, and lunch at a local restaurant at your own cost. A beginner surf lesson can be added if you book it in advance.

Leave Agadir north along the coast road through Taghazout.
A short stop on the headland for views over the Atlantic.
A walk around the bay, then free time in the village and on the headland.
Free time to eat at a harbour restaurant (grilled fish, at your own cost).
Relax by the bay, watch the surfers on the point, or swim when the sea is calm.
Drive back south to Agadir.
Back at your hotel in Agadir.
Important Information
Imsouane is a working fishing village, so dress modestly in the village centre. A surf lesson can be arranged in the village at extra cost; let us know in advance. This activity runs when enough people have booked for your date, so we confirm it after you book. The private option, at the price of 6 people, runs just for your group.
