La Perla Horse Trek - 6 Days around Essaouira
About this experience
The short edition of the ranch's famous treks: a six-day loop from and back to Diabat, with four days on horseback. Ride along the bends of the Ksob river and through small natural canyons, cross a great argan forest with a visit to a women's argan oil cooperative, follow clifftop paths above the Atlantic down to small wild beaches, and cross the big dunes below the Cap Sim lighthouse to canter on the beach with Mogador island in view. Evenings at the bivouac bring a campfire and fresh Moroccan cooking.

Meeting Point
Itinerary
Welcome at Marrakech or Essaouira airport and transfer to Essaouira. Briefing, dinner and night in a hotel.
About 5 hours in the saddle each day with a long lunch break: dunes, empty beaches, cliffs and fishing villages. Nights at the bivouac with campfire and Moroccan dinner.
A half-day ride along the coast back to the ranch, lunch at the ranch and a free afternoon in the city.
Transfer to the airport.
Important Information
Fixed departure dates: 18 to 23 Oct 2026; 9 to 14 Nov 2026; 8 to 13 May 2027; 10 to 15 Jul 2027; 13 to 18 Nov 2027. Riders must be comfortable at walk, trot and canter, keep a good posture at the trot and weigh no more than 90 kg. Everyone helps care for their own horse during the trek. The camp night needs a booking and passport details at least two weeks ahead, as required by the Essaouira authorities. Book a flight arriving at Marrakech airport by 14:00 on day 1 and leaving Marrakech at 12:00 or later on the last day; outside these times a private taxi costs about 80 EUR, shared between travellers. Travel insurance with medical cover that includes horse riding is required. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your arrival in Morocco.
Cancellation Policy
If you cancel before the trip for your own reasons, the organiser does not refund the trip price: the travel insurance with cancellation cover required for this trek lets you claim it back, so take it out when you book.
